Be A Mentor provides 1-1 mentoring support for youth, ages 10-17, in the Antelope Valley. Mentors help their mentees to realize their potential and self-worth. Our Mentors Provide: One-on-one attention, study/social skills, and encouragement for success. Our Mentors meet the mentees 1x/week for 1 hour in person.

The Quit Alliance was developed by LGBTQ+ community members and is led by staff who identify with and represent the community. Our support groups are specifically tailored to LGBTQ+ individuals, addressing the unique impact of tobacco marketing and providing affirming, culturally responsive resources to support quitting tobacco.

Kayla’s Place, founded in 2004, is a therapeutic program for children affected by domestic violence. It aims to prevent the cycle of violence by offering services to young victims. In 2009, the program expanded to address all forms of childhood trauma, funded by grants from the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CALOES) and community fundraising.

Teresina Hone, LMFT, is a dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a deep commitment to helping children heal from trauma. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles in 2018, dedicating herself to helping children survivors of trauma as well as the LGBTQ+ community
